Dear Family,

My name is Sam Ford and I will be 19 on the 6th June 2010. I am an only child who gets on great with kids. I have always wanted a younger brother or sister but sadly this is not the case. I regularly babysit lots of children near where I live, the youngest of these being 18 months old and the oldest being 12. I worked in St. John of God's Carmona Services, a home for severely to profoundly disabled children, in April 2008 and I have a shining reference from them. I also went to Kolkata in November 2008 with a group from my school to teach slum children ranging in age from 2 to 16 in Loreto Sealdah School. I can cook, clean, iron, hoover, etc. I am kind, generous, empathetic, enthusiastic, entertaining and good fun. I have a good sense of humour. I am also honest, open-minded and reliable. I am very good at playing games with young children e.g. making Brio train tracks or Chasing or playing football. I can speak French and German very well, having won the French and German Medals in my school at the end of 6th Year.
