Dear Host Family,
My name is Melania Rina Diah Ekasari. People call me Melani. I’m just an ordinary girl. But, I believe if I have something different with the other girls. I like doing something challenging and full of risky. I always have a high enthusiasm and bravery to try. I love singing. I always sing when I feel so happy and even so sad.
I’m the first child in my family. I have a young brother named Michael. My father is a tailor and my mom is a housewife. My parents are deaf, but they have a strong spirit which not all people have. They are so hardworking and not easy to give up. My brother is 14 years old. He’s in junior high school now. We have no maid in our house so my brother and I have to help my mother to manage the house. I love my family very much.
I’m an easy going girl, so not only with my parents, I always share my problems with my friends. I have a lot of close friends. Therefore I can get much different advices, but I try to choose the best one o solve my problems. My friends always said if I have a high solidarity. I never discriminate with whom I will be friend. Because no matter their status. I just try to be their best friend.
In the second grade on senior high school, I took the language program. In language program I learnt English, Française, and Japanese language, I learnt the culture of another country too. I have ever been the winner in the French speech contest. I like the language program because I have a dream to go abroad someday. i studied at Dian Nuswantoro University. I took Broadcasting as my subject because I want to be an actress and a director. but i didn't continue my study because my parents and i don't have enough money to pay the tuition.
I like to hang out with my friends when I free. We like to go for a walk at the park, go to swim, watch music concert, and watch film in cinema. But sometimes when I want to be alone, I just stay at home and listening music or watching TV.
I want to be an au pair because I want to earn money so I can help my family to survive and I can continue my study. I want to know the culture of another country and make new friends too. I want to help to take care of family’s children because I like children very much. I love children because they are so cute, funny, and honest. I believe I can be a good au pair because I used to take care of children and I always have a good relationship with children.
My parents always taught me, as a young girl, I must can take care of my self and keep my good manners. Wherever I am counted in other country, I will follow the rule where I stand. I prefer follow the rules and enjoy my life, than I break the rules and make my life difficult. My parents also taught me to responsible with the task that has been given to me.
