In my spare time, I enjoy doing a variety of crafts - sewing, beadwork, knitting, painting, etc. I also enjoy anything outdoors! I love camping, hiking, walking, swimming, and biking. I also spend lots of time reading novels, visiting with friends, going to see movies and going to the theatre.

My name is Candace, and I am from Western Canada. I am a recent graduate from a university, with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre and Dramatic Arts.

I am very interested in working as an Au pair because I want to discover a different culture, meet new people, and have an eye-opening adventure. I feel I am at a point in my life where I am ready to take a step into the unknown - to experience something completely foreign, and challenge myself. I believe I am a suitable candidate for working as an Au pair because I am a patient, kind and energetic individual who enjoys caring for others.

As a student and professional in the theatre world, I have grown accustomed to working with many different personality types, working under pressure, and thinking quickly on my feet. I also have some experience working on theatre productions geared towards young audiences, and know many theatre related activities that children would enjoy.

Over the years, I have had some experience working with children; as a high school student and member of the National Honor Society, I volunteered on several occasions at a local elementary school, helping students with homework after classes. As a teenager, I also worked casually as a baby sitter for some friends of the family. Most recently, I have been focusing mostly on my University studies and work in the theatre, but I am excited to gain more experience working with children. I have an older sister and several friends who work in child care, so I have seen the work involved and understand what it takes to care for young people.
