Dear Au Pair Letter:
Hi

I hope you would consider coming to join us. We are in the South East of England, in Kent which is a short drive / train journey
to the coast and a train ride to London, about an hour.

So far, our past 4 aupairs have all become good friends and we would happily give you their contact details as references.

We are an easy going and relaxed family - slightly querky i guess but
very open minded and inclusive. We like spontanaiety and those fun
times that just happen. We believe that having an aupair is much more
than just childcare - it is about bringing a cultural experience and
new dimension to everyone's lives.

We have a 9 year old son, Jordan. I am
a psychologist and my partner is a head of department (film and media) in a secondary
school. I am a paralympian.

We live in a Kent town, and in a 4 bedroom house. You will have your own bedroom with toilet and shower.

The position would provide you with ample time for any studies as
well as to explore the UK and do any voluntary work etc you feel
would give you the experience you desire.

the daily routine is:-

6.30am - 8.20am - we leave at 6.30am and so you would be sole charge
of Jordan at that point (but you can be asleep!) - he wakes up at
7am. You need to 'encourage' him to get ready for school and have his
breakfast, and then the taxi comes to take him to school

The daytime you pretty much have free - we would ask that you do some
light housework just to help to keep the house tidy.

3pm - 6pm - you need to be there when jordan comes home from school (some nights he
has clubs so does not leave till later) and be with him until we
return from work, which is normally around 6pm at the latest. You
are welcome to develop your own routine with him - take him swimming,
to the library, to the woods - whatever you want to do together
really. He rally responds well to creativity and off the cuff things.

I work at home one day a week normally (unless i have to go to work
away) and so will get up with him and collect him that day.
Every weekend is free and so are the school holidays.

We look forward to hearing from you and sharing an adventure!
