How to write a letter to a potential host family

This letter should give the family the opportunity to form an opinion about yourself, where you are coming from, your culture and traditions, etc. Below are some details that you should mention in your letter:
• Have you got brothers or sisters? How old are they, what they do, how are theirs personalities?
• How old are your parents, where they work, what kind of relationship you have with them?
• Your family gets together often, keep in touch with your relatives, or live away from them?
• What kind of activities you do with your family over weekend / holiday, or spend your holidays / weekends separately?
• What is your role in the family? Help in housework, cooking, take care of little children or animals?
• Are you an organized person, or more relaxed?
• How would you describe yourself? Are you shy, introvert, calm , active etc.?
• What have you done so far (graduations / high school, winning competitions, activities )
• Why you want to be an au pair?
• What experience do you have regarding childcare?
• How do you think you'll understand the new family and its members?
• Have you ever been away from home for a longer period of time?
• How do you think will help you experience as an au pair in the future?
• What are your future plans?
