Allowed age: 18 to 30 although there is no legal limit.
EU nationals don't need special aproval to become Au Pairs.

Non-EU citizens have to be enrolled in an Italian Language School from a list of recognized institutions. The lenght of the enrollment is the one that decides the lenght of visa.

A return ticket is required to prove the intention to return to your home country alongside proper travel and medical insurance.

It is necessary to have a Dear Au Pair letter from the family together with a written agreement between the host family and au pair.

The above documents needs to be aproved by Police and local job authority but it is good to know that different Italian regions have different regulations.
